Be Part of a Sacred Legacy
With every prayer and contribution, we pave the way for a permanent sanctuary for Lord Jagannatha in London.
Shree Jagannatha Society UK, a registered UK charity, is undertaking a once-in-a-generation mission to establish a premier Jagannatha spiritual and cultural centre in the UK.
We seek the support of devotees, families and well-wishers around the world to acquire a large freehold plot of land and create a permanent foundation for a Jagannatha temple, cultural centre, community hall and heritage facilities, subject to all required permissions and approvals.
This sacred mission is more than the acquisition of land. It is the beginning of a living legacy for future generations.
Key facts
- Freehold land: 13.61 acres
- Land Acquisition Cost: £2 million
- Within the M25 corridor
- Close to Heathrow Airport, ideal for devotees across the UK and international visitors
- The land exchange has been completed, marking the beginning of a historic chapter for the global Jagannatha community. The final land completion is now in progress.
- Site map available on request. Visits can be arranged.
How your donation is used: Your donation will help secure land near Heathrow for the development of the Shree Jagannatha Spiritual & Cultural Centre. If we raise more funds than required for the land acquisition then your donation will be used to build and establish a Jagannatha Temple and Community Centre in the UK.

The Sacred Ascent
The 22 Steps of Seva: Baisi Pahacha
The Baisi Pahacha, the 22 steps leading to Lord Jagannatha’s temple in Puri, are traditionally understood by devotees as the soul’s ascent from the earthly towards the divine, each step a reminder of humility, surrender, service and devotion.
Our donation journey reflects this sacred ascent, from Brick to Keystone, so that every devotee can place a symbolic step on the path towards Mahaprabhu’s permanent home in the UK.
Every donation builds a step. Every step brings the vision closer.
