Land Acquisition Appeal
Donation Terms
Shree Jagannatha Society UK · Registered Charity No. 1191544 · Version 1.0 · 27 October 2026
These terms apply to donations made to the Land Acquisition Appeal run by Shree Jagannatha Society UK.
1. How your donation will be used
Your donation will help secure land near Heathrow for the development of the Shree Jagannatha Spiritual & Cultural Centre. If we raise more funds than required for the land acquisition then your donation will be used to build and establish a Jagannatha Temple and Community Centre in the UK.
The trustees of SJSUK are responsible for making sure donations are used in line with this statement.
2. Your donation
- All donations are one-off payments in pounds sterling (GBP). Nothing will be taken again unless you choose to give again.
- The minimum online donation is £1. For gifts above £250,000, please contact us first.
- The donation form shows the payment options available for your gift, PayPal or bank transfer. Larger gifts are made by bank transfer.
- Every donation has its own reference (starting “SJSUK-LA-”). Please quote it on bank transfers so we can match your gift.
- No fees are added to your donation. PayPal charges SJSUK a processing fee on online payments.
- Please donate only your own money, or money you are authorised to give.
3. Donation steps
The sacred steps (Brick to Keystone) are symbolic names for your donation.
4. Gift Aid
Gift Aid is optional. If you add it, you confirm the declaration shown at checkout, and you must tell us if you want to cancel it, change your name or home address, or no longer pay enough tax. See Gift Aid information.
5. When your donation is counted
PayPal donations are counted when PayPal confirms payment. Bank transfers are counted once matched to our bank statement using your reference. The public total shows confirmed donations only; potential Gift Aid is shown separately.
6. Recognition and the Temple Legacy Register
With your consent, we will include the name or dedication you choose in the Temple Legacy Register. Entries are reviewed before publication and we may decline wording that is offensive, promotional or that we cannot verify. Amounts and contact details are never published. You can withdraw your entry at any time.
7. Volunteers
SJSUK volunteers share the appeal freely. They receive no reward, commission or benefit from any donation, and all donations go to the same appeal fund held by SJSUK.
8. Refunds, privacy and complaints
See our Refund Policy, Privacy Notice and Complaints Procedure.
9. General
We may update these terms; the version in force when you donate applies to your donation. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions: Contact@shreejagannatha.uk.
