Shree Jagannatha Society UK was established with the sacred mission of constructing a grand temple dedicated to Lord Shree Jagannatha Mahaprabhu in or around London, fulfilling the long-standing spiritual aspiration of Jagannatha devotees across the United Kingdom. The founding trustees include several distinguished individuals who are long-term residents of the UK and respected members of the community. The official announcement of the Society and its vision was made on 20th June 2020 in the esteemed presence of H.E. Governor of Odisha Shri Ganeshi Lal, Hon. Union Minister Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi, H.E. Gajapati Maharaja Shri Dibyasingha Deb, and members of the global Odia diaspora. The vision received overwhelming support and commitment from all attendees. At present, the Society is actively engaged in identifying a suitable site and progressing toward land acquisition. Discussions are ongoing with local authorities, central agencies, and key stakeholders to bring this divine vision to life.
